We want to make it clear that this hackathon is not exclusive to Solidity developers alone. While Solidity expertise is valuable, we recognize that the Ethereum ecosystem thrives on diversity. Therefore, we welcome participants with a wide range of skills, including but not limited to:
🖥️ Coding: Striving to onboard as many Web2 developers as possible into Web3, blockchain protocols are gradually turning to popular programming languages such as Python, JS, and Rust. So, if you have relevant coding experience, you’re well equipped to embark on this journey.
📊 Data Science: There is a growing number of Web3 projects working to decentralize data storage, crowdsourcing, tracking, and transfer, as some of them are among the ETHSofia Hackathon sponsors. If you are a data management professional, the ETHSofia Hackathon workshops will definitely deliver useful insights. Moreover, the intersection between blockchain and AI is consistently bringing about new use cases, which any AI researcher would find fascinating.
💻 Web Development: If you're proficient in web development languages like JavaScript, Python, or others, your skills are highly relevant. Many blockchain applications require web interfaces, and your expertise can be a game-changer.
🎨 Design: Beautiful and intuitive user interfaces play a crucial role in the success of blockchain applications. If you're a product designer, UI/UX expert, or graphic designer, your skills are in high demand.
💁 Presentation and Communication: Soft skills matter too! Whether you excel at presenting ideas, storytelling, or project management, your ability to communicate effectively can be a significant asset.
🧑🎓 Students: Even if you’re still in school, as long as you are over 18 years of age and you have a passion for coding, crypto, or both, you’re more than welcome.
